A Member’s Vote/Voice Matters
During the most recent Board Meeting on August 27th, our board discussed making a new policy that if a board member is removed from the board, he or she cannot run for the board again for three years. As members who vote for whom we would like to represent our voice on the board, our vote should be the deciding factor, if we want to vote that person back to the board, not five or six individuals.
Another topic regarding replacement of a board member, should not be five or six individuals on the board. The replacement to the board should be the next highest place on the recent board election, if he or she doesn’t want to serve, then the next highest place person in the recent election. The entire membership voted for those individuals running for the board and those should be ones we ask to serve, not someone that did not run for the board.
We thank the Board for listening to the Members Voices and willing to do the right thing.
By listing my name below, I agree to be counted among those that believe board appointments should be by the membership votes, and that a member can run for the board again if remove by the board without time restrictions.
